We were a mobile coffee bar, but we are opening a brick & mortar in Salida, CO!! Keep an eye out for announcements on the website or social media posts. In the meantime, you can interact with us by hiring us to work on your machines, book a class, or join our coffee refill program!

We don’t cater as much as we used to, but we will still serve small events inside or outside.

We only do small events now. Please see our espresso packages here and our batch brew packages here. We typically cater by the hour or by the gallon of coffee.

Absolutely! If you don’t live in Salida, we’ll travel to your coffee shop and teach behind your own bar. We’ve taught as many as 12 baristas at one time. Inquire at hq@compactcoffee.co

An hour and a half, but plan for two hours if you want to stick around to chat & drink all the coffees you practiced making.

Not at all! We welcome all home baristas and coffee lovers alike. It’s a lot of fun for us to teach beginners too.

Nope, but feel free to bring your own equipment if you’d like! Our shop also sells the pitchers and other barista items you may find useful to take back home to use.

We do not! We showcase a new roaster once a month. We always sample a roaster’s current offerings before we choose a single origin to bring into our refill program for the following month. It’s the best part of our job is to pick coffee for you all!

Yep! We offer pick-ups at our Compact HQ location.

We’re part-timers. We spend about 2-3 months per year traveling in our van total.

Yes, we did! We built our cart in early 2018 and finished building out our van in 2020. We’ve actually had multiple carts and we’ve rebuilt the same van three times!

Yes and no! We are opening Compact HQ which is technically not a coffee shop, but instead - it will be a tech & training bar where we’ll have limited office hours where you can come hang out & sip on a coffee while shopping for home barista & van life things! More to come on that.
